Dream of the Red Chamber is a lavish full length dance drama, based on one of the four greatest works in Chinese classical literature. It masterfully blends both classical ballet and traditional Chinese dance. This sumptuous production is directed and choreographed by the award-winning Zhao Ming, and it’s score is created by Su Cong, the Academy Award-winning composer of The Last Emperor. The dancers come from the World-renowned Beijing Friendship Dance Company, who have been received around the World with standing ovations and great applause for this exciting production.

Dream of the Red Chamber is considered an important historical and archival treasure with regard to China 's ancient official title system, philosophy, culture and social customs. It tells the tragic story of a passionate love triangle that devastates an ancient noble family, somewhat akin to Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.
